Walking to Drymen

Our aim is for Drymen to be your favourite West Highland Way stop. The village is typically the first nights stop, having walked from Milngavie, through Mugdock Park and then by Killearn.

By the time you reach Drymen you’ll be looking forward to a well earned rest before setting off on the next stages towards Fort William.

We love walking and love the West Highland Way, there’s a warm welcome waiting for you at Drymen Bakery & Deli.

Walking from Drymen

The adventure continues from Drymen. A walk over Conic Hill takes you to Balmaha, where you’ll walk alongside the Eastern shores of Loch Lomond.

From Loch Lomond it’s onto Tyndrum, Bridge of Orchy and then wild Glencoe. Once you descend Devil’s Staircase you’re on the home stretch to Kinlochleven before the 96-mile trail concludes at Fort William.

Enjoy Scotland’s first and most popular Great Trail, The West Highland Way.
